ClearHealth Quality Institute revealed the first five organizations accredited under its new telemedicine accreditation program.
ClearHealth Quality Institute, an independent healthcare accreditation and certification firm, created the standards and guides for its program in partnership with the American Telemedicine Association as an update to the trade group’s accreditation program. Today, ClearHealth Quality Institute offers the only ATA-backed telemedicine accreditation program.
The telemedicine accreditation program, which requires organizations to undergo an application and demonstration process to assess the quality and safety of their services, covers three modules: consumer-to-provider, provider-to-consumer and provider-to-provider. ClearHealth Quality Institute also accredits organizations for specific service lines.
“Given the explosive growth of telehealth, it is crucial, now more than ever, to have a nationally recognized seal of approval specifically for an organization’s telemedicine services,” said Michael Gomes, CEO of ClearHealth Quality Institute.
